Our client, an industry leader in aerospace manufacturing, is seeking a Shot Peening Process Engineer to join their team. As a Shot Peening Process Engineer, you will be part of the Manufacturing Department supporting process development and quality assurance teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?
Develop and optimize multi-axis motion paths for IPS dual 4-axis gantry machines using Fanuc 30i-B controllers.
Create and validate saturation curves to determine saturation time and ensure peening intensity compliance.
Configure and calibrate critical machine parameters including air pressure, turntable RPM, nozzle angles, and shot flow rates.
Perform 100% coverage validation through magnified inspections to prevent surface defects on critical components.
Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, cost efficiency, and delivery performance.
What's Needed?
3-5 years of specialized experience in automated shot peening, preferably within aerospace or heavy industrial gas turbine environments.
Proven ability to program Fanuc-based CNC machines and work with process control software such as IPS CIMCAP.
Deep understanding of Almen strip handling, intensity measurement, and the mathematical derivation of saturation curves.
Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail in inspection and process validation.
Excellent communication skills to effectively train and collaborate with team members and operators.
