A full-time opportunity is available for an occupational therapist (OT) or certified occupational therapy assistant (COTA) to support an elementary and high school mixed caseload. This position is a contract assignment based in Martinsburg, WV, extending from ASAP through the end of the current school year (CSY). The role requires expertise in pediatric occupational therapy within educational settings, with a focus on both gross and fine motor skills development. Experience providing OT services through teletherapy as well as in-person school-based sessions is essential. The caseload includes a mix of elementary and high school students, allowing for diverse clinical practice and intervention opportunities. Key Responsibilities: Deliver occupational therapy services to elementary and high school students, addressing individualized educational and developmental goals. Utilize teletherapy platforms and in-person sessions to support students motor skills improvement, including fine and gross motor abilities. Collaborate with educators, families, and other allied health professionals to develop treatment plans tailored to each students needs. Document student progress, update treatment records, and communicate effectively with school staff. Advocate for student participation and success through appropriate therapeutic interventions within the school environment. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Valid OT or COTA license with experience in school-based therapy. Skilled in teletherapy delivery and comfortable using related technology. Proven ability to improve gross and fine motor skills in children. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Adaptability to serve a mixed-age caseload spanning elementary through high school. This is a full-time position at 37.5 hours per week. The contract runs from as soon as possible until the end of the school year, offering stability and meaningful work in a supportive educational setting.
