Job Description: Pharmacy technician PRN 3 pharmacies in Pasco Co and Crystal River My Health Onsite manages employer sponsored health and wellness centers. Our medical team takes time to build strong relationships with our patients. No one is rushed in and out, and no one is a "number." Patients (ages 8 and up) may access a range of medical services including x-ray, onsite pharmacy, wellness services, and treatment for acute illnesses and chronic conditions. Our programs go beyond caring for the sick and injured - we make prevention our number one goal. Possible Schedule: Monday through Friday: 8am-5pm Essential Responsibilities Preparation of medications for patients, including data entry Receive, verify and fill prescriptions Obtain pharmacist's approval when necessary Complete patient paperwork related to the filling of prescription Assist with insurance claims processing Maintain inventory by assisting with ordering or receiving medication deliveries Stock and price medications in inventory Ensure availability of drugs by delivering them to patients or facilities Pull expired medications and return to MedFlats Prepare medications that have been final checked to mail Call patients to pick up medications if not picked up within a predetermined time Maintain safety by adhering to infection-control procedures, policies and regulations Ensure compliance with all applicable TJC standards and elements of performance (EPs) Minimum Qualifications Current and unrestricted Florida Pharmacy Technician License One years of pharmacy experience Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Protect the privacy of our patients by following HIPAA guidelines Ability to effectively communicate with staff and patients using excellent written and verbal skills Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to resolve patient issues with a strong service mentality Proficient knowledge of computer systems including electronic medical record (EMR) Friendly personality and ability to work well as a team member Employment Type: Full Time Years Experience: 1 - 3 years Bonus/Commission: No
