Job Description
The Overnight DSP ensures safety, stability, and full regulatory compliance in a residential setting. This role requires independent decision-making, accurate documentation, medication administration, and consistent implementation of Individual Support Plans (ISPs).
You will serve as the primary responsible staff member during overnight hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide active overnight supervision and environmental safety monitoring
- Implement and document services in accordance with ISPs and behavior plans
- Administer and document medications per state requirements
- Maintain accurate, audit-ready documentation
- Respond appropriately to medical, behavioral, or environmental incidents
- Support morning routines and transitions as needed
- Maintain a safe, structured, and respectful living environment
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of verifiable DSP experience supporting individuals with I/DD
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (meeting state requirements)
- Completed HCSP (Home and Community Support Professional) training
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours
- Valid driverโs license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance
- Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and all regulatory requirements
