Job Requirements — Cath Lab Nurse Qualifications

Active, unrestricted RN license (U.S.)

Minimum 1 year recent Cath Lab RN experience in an acute care setting (cardiac catheterization lab or electrophysiology lab)

Current ACLS certification

EKG training and proficiency interpreting cardiac rhythms

Strong clinical skills with ability to function independently in a fast-paced Cath Lab environment

Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills

Responsibilities — Cath Lab RN / Cardiac Nurse Duties

Provide direct patient care in the Cardiac Cath Lab, ensuring patient safety, monitoring, and comfort during procedures

Assist with a variety of cardiac procedures including pacemaker implantations (all types), ablations (including VT Ablation), Watchman device placements, and cryoablation

Support electrophysiology (EP) procedures and maintain 1:1 patient monitoring when required

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including RNs, RCIS, RT, CVT, department assistants, and leadership

Operate and troubleshoot GE and ESI equipment as needed and document care using Meditech and MacLab systems

Adhere to facility policies, infection control, and Cath Lab safety standards
