Requirements:

Active RN license

Graduate of accredited nursing program

BLS required; CPI or crisis prevention training preferred

Previous behavioral health or emergency experience preferred

Strong assessment, de-escalation, and communication skills

Ability to manage high-acuity crisis situations

Responsibilities:

Provide crisis assessment and psychiatric nursing care

Perform mental health and suicide risk assessments

Monitor patient safety and implement de-escalation techniques

Administer psychiatric medications and treatments as ordered

Collaborate with behavioral health and ED teams

Develop and implement individualized care plans

Educate patients and families on treatment and resources

Document assessments and interventions in EMR
