Job Description Job Description Key Responsibilities Patient Care & Support Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, feeding, toileting, and mobility. Support patient mobility by helping with ambulation, turning, repositioning, and transferring using safe techniques. Clinical Assistance Assist nurses with basic clinical tasks such as specimen collection, blood glucose checks, intake/output documentation, and simple wound care support. Set up equipment and supplies for procedures as directed. Maintain patient rooms and care areas in clean, safe, and organized condition. Safety & Compliance Follow infection control standards, including hand hygiene and use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Ensure patient safety through fall-prevention measures and proper use of restraints per policy. Communication & Teamwork Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team. Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and families during care. Collaborate with nurses and other staff to ensure coordinated patient care. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (required). Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Patient Care Technician (PCT) certification (preferred depending on facility). Experience in acute care or long-term care settings (preferred but not always required).
