03/11/2026 Job Description: Must possess the skills and abilities to engage in the nursing process including but not limited to the assessment, nursing analysis, planning, nursing intervention, and evaluation in the promotion and maintenance of the patients health across the continuum of life. Must have the skills needed to supervise and delegate appropriate functions to subordinate personnel. Must have the skills/abilities to evaluate and ensure that the medical plan of care is carried out. Must have the educational, physical, and mental capabilities to perform procedures common to their nursing unit. Responsibilities: Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patients health or the situation (Assessment). Analyzes the assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues (Diagnosis). Develops a plan that prescribes strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes (Plan of Care). Implements the identified plan of care. Systematically enhances the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice. Attains knowledge and competency that reflects current nursing practice. Evaluates ones own nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards and guidelines. Interacts with and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues. Communicates with patient, family, and healthcare providers regarding patient care and the nurses role. Must be willing to float to MB to take couplets, Transition Nurse, Circulate/PACU, Triage. Requirements: Registered Nurse License (Montana or Compact License). NRP Certification. BLS Certification through the American Heart Association. ACLS Certification through the American Heart Association. 1 year Labor and Delivery RN experience or PACU experience.
