About the Role We are seeking an experienced

Inpatient Medical Coder with strong MS-DRG expertise

to support procedure classification and DRG validation within our analytics platform. This is

not a production coding role . There are no billing quotas or chart volume requirements. Instead, you will apply your inpatient coding expertise to validate ICD-10-PCS, CPT, HCPCS, and DRG logic to ensure our analytics models reflect accurate clinical and reimbursement structure. This is a

flexible part-time position (15–25 hours per week) .

What You’ll Do Review inpatient ICD-10-CM/PCS coded data Validate MS-DRG assignments and CC/MCC capture Classify surgical procedures into standardized analytic groupings Align procedure codes and supply documentation to structured clinical models Identify inconsistencies between coded data and expected clinical workflows Document and maintain classification logic and crosswalk standards Collaborate with analytics and engineering teams to ensure data accuracy

Required Qualifications CCS, RHIT, RHIA, or CPC 3+ years inpatient hospital coding experience Strong working knowledge of MS-DRG methodology Deep familiarity with ICD-10-PCS Experience auditing or validating DRG assignments Strong attention to detail and structured analytical thinking

Preferred Coding audit or revenue integrity background Experience with 3M or Optum Encoder Exposure to SQL or structured datasets Surgical service line experience
