This opportunity is for an experienced Registered Nurse skilled in step-down care, specifically within a Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The role focuses on providing high-quality nursing care to patients with cardiac and complex medical needs in a fast-paced, challenging environment.

Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized care to PCU patients, including cardiac cases requiring close monitoring
Administer and manage drips such as heparin, tikosin, diltiazem, amiodarone, nitro, Lasix, and ketamine
Perform clinical procedures including chest tube placement and removal, pacer wire removal, and 12-lead EKGs
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of RNs and Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) to ensure patient safety and care quality
Utilize medical equipment such as telemetry, transport monitors, suction devices, feeding pumps, trachs, bipap, cpap, heated high flow systems, chest tubes, Foley catheters, pacer wires, IV pumps, and SCD pumps
Document patient information accurately using the Meditech EMR system
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Current RN license with PCU and cardiac nursing experience
ACLS certification required
Proficiency managing multiple infusions and drips as listed above
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced cardiac unit
High energy level and a strong team-player attitude
