A Registered Nurse (RN) opportunity in Dalton, GA offers a dynamic role centered on improving patient health through expert nursing care, case management, and collaboration with healthcare teams. This contract position involves working Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with an on-call requirement that includes 3-4 weekend days and 5-6 weeknights per month. Key Responsibilities: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for individuals in community or small facility settings. Monitor and provide disease prevention and health maintenance. Coordinate multi-disciplinary communication to support health and safety. Manage medication administration policies, including ordering, review, and safe disposal. Document patient health status consistently and ensure timely reporting to physicians. Direct and supervise licensed practical/vocational nurses and train unlicensed staff on individual health needs. Schedule and follow up on health-related appointments and communicate with inpatient and discharge coordinators. Participate in new employee training and annual recertification for health and safety topics. Preferred Qualifications: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license for Georgia, specifically qualified in Ringgold, GA. Experience in home health care and HCHB services. Strong ability to manage nursing documentation and medication protocols. Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
