Qualifications / Job Requirements

Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Cardiac Monitor Tech or in a related monitored care specialty

Active MD or Compact License at time of submission

BLS certification (AHA required)

CCI CRAT or NTA certification accepted

Experience with Epic electronic charting / documentation required

Ability to float to all monitored units and to sister facilities as needed

Availability to work every other weekend and scheduled holidays

Two professional references from recent employers (one supervisor/manager and one charge RN acceptable)

Local candidate requirement: must reside at least 50 miles from the facility

Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)

Key Responsibilities

Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms for adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatric patients in acute care and monitored units

Recognize and promptly report arrhythmias, changes in cardiac rhythm, and urgent findings to nursing staff and physicians

Document cardiac monitoring data accurately in Epic

Troubleshoot cardiac monitoring equipment and ensure proper lead placement

Float as needed to ICU, stepdown, and other monitored units; follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient safety and care quality
