03/23/2026 Job Description: The Registered Nurse in the Med/Surg unit will provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients and post-surgical patients with various conditions including strokes, oncology, CHF, and COPD. The RN will utilize the Epic EMR system and may be required to float to different units and assist with MedSurg holds in the ER. Responsibilities: Provide nursing care to adults and post-surgical patients. Manage patients with conditions such as respiratory issues, gi issues, ortho, and COVID. Perform procedures like dressing changes and manage chest tubes, trachs, and central lines. Participate in a weekend rotation every other week. Requirements: Minimum 2 years of experience in MedSurg. BLS and ACLS certifications required; must pass tele exam during compliance. Experience with pediatrics and psych preferred but not required. Competency with Epic EMR and ability to float across designated units.
