Requirements:

Active RN license

Graduate of accredited nursing program

BLS required; ACLS and NRP preferred

Previous OB and/or Med Surg experience preferred

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:

Provide nursing care to obstetric and medical-surgical patients

Perform maternal and newborn assessments

Monitor fetal heart tones and patient vital signs

Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments as ordered

Assist with labor support and postpartum care

Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team

Educate patients and families on care and discharge plans

Document care accurately in the EMR
