Job Description
The Legal Support Specialist provides critical administrative and operational support to attorneys and legal assistants across corporate and business practice groups. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to thrive in a deadline-driven law firm setting.
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative and clerical support to attorneys and legal assistants
Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents and correspondence
Scan, file, and maintain electronic and physical client records
Coordinate internal document processing and workflow requests
Manage copying, binding, and organization of transactional materials
Provide backup support to practice groups as needed
Assist with scheduling and general administrative tasks
Support office-wide initiatives and team projects
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all client interactions
Qualifications
1.5–2 years of prior law firm experience required
Experience must be within a corporate, transactional, business, or other white-collar legal practice environment
Backgrounds primarily in high-volume plaintiff practices (e.g., personal injury or immigration) will not be considered
Professional services experience required
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
Familiarity with document management systems preferred
Experience in a mid-size or large law firm environment preferred
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Reliable, team-oriented, and professional demeanor
