$62/hr on W2
Shift:
Must be flexible to work 1st or 2nd shift
1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Industrial Engineer 3
to support manufacturing and engineering operations at Kennedy Space Center. The ideal candidate will apply advanced Industrial Engineering concepts and Lean methodologies to enhance productivity, optimize processes, and improve schedule performance, cost efficiency, and quality across large-scale systems integration projects.
Key Responsibilities
Apply advanced Industrial Engineering concepts, tools, and decision analysis techniques to manufacturing, engineering, and service operations.
Conduct
time studies
and perform common Industrial Engineering (IE) tasks.
Develop and maintain models, databases, and spreadsheets to analyze statistical, operational research, and engineering economic data.
Provide summarized analysis, metrics, and recommendations to management and cross-functional teams.
Support product and process design teams throughout the product lifecycle.
Research, design, develop, and implement process improvements using Lean methodologies.
Perform risk analysis and manage projects using tools such as Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Precedence Network (PNET), and Critical Path analysis.
Ensure projects are delivered within scope, cost, and schedule constraints.
Analyze and design value streams including capacity planning, supplier performance, throughput, workflow, logistics, and factory layout optimization.
Develop scheduling forecasts and recovery plans to meet program objectives.
Day-to-Day Activities
Conduct time studies and workflow analysis
Support War Rooms and burndown reporting
Perform root cause and data analysis
Build automated Excel-based tools and reports
Monitor scheduling performance and recovery plans

(Boeing internal system)
Experience with
CREO
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or related technical field (ABET preferred but not required).
Typically 5+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of advanced education and experience (Master’s + 3 years, PhD, etc.).
