As a Registered Professional Nurse (RN), you will embody our mission and values while striving for excellence in patient-centered care. You will practice within the legal and ethical framework set forth by the Connecticut Nurse Practice Act and the standards established by the American Nurses Association. Standards of Practice:
Adhere to the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice by executing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
Coordination of Care:
Ensure seamless care delivery and transitions by collaborating effectively with the healthcare team and the patient's family.
Health Teaching and Promotion:
Facilitate health education and promote a safe environment for patients.
Professional Performance:
Practice ethically and in accordance with cultural diversity and inclusion principles.
Engage in ongoing education and professional development that reflects current nursing practices.
Evaluate nursing practices and utilize resources responsibly to ensure effective care delivery.
Graduate from an accredited nursing school; Foundational RN responsibilities apply. Must possess a valid and current nursing license in Connecticut; All RNs are encouraged to seek out opportunities for professional growth and stay current with nursing advancements.
Potential exposure to infectious diseases and varying patient conditions, including end-of-life situations, may occur.
