Occupational Therapist

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join a dynamic inpatient rehabilitation/acute care team in Waco, TX. This role is ideal for a clinician who thrives in a fast-paced hospital environment and is passionate about helping patients regain independence through evidence-based therapeutic interventions.

Position Overview The Occupational Therapist plans, organizes, and delivers restorative, functional, and preventative therapeutic programs. You will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to support rehabilitation goals.

Key Responsibilities Evaluate, treat, and monitor patients in an inpatient rehab/acute care setting Develop and modify individualized therapy plans based on patient progress Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and charge entry Communicate effectively with patients, families, and care teams Supervise support staff, students, and volunteers as needed Uphold regulatory standards and align with organizational performance goals

Qualifications Licensed Occupational Therapist (PT license required per facility guidelines) BLS certification (AHA only) Minimum 1 year of inpatient rehab or acute care experience Master’s degree (or Bachelor’s with 2+ years’ experience) Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and teamwork skills Proficient with rehabilitation equipment and EMR systems
