SUMMARY DESCRIPTION Under the direction of the Nevada Hospital Association (NHA) President/CEO, the Workforce and Clinical Services Director provides strategic leadership in nursing, workforce development, regulatory compliance, quality management, and patient safety.

This position works collaboratively with NHA members, healthcare providers, community organizations, academic institutions, and government officials to advance advocacy efforts and support Nevada's healthcare delivery system. The Director supports the President/CEO and Board of Directors in implementing the Association’s mission, goals, and objectives and helps guide NHA staff to ensure member needs are met in a timely and responsive manner.

EXEMPLARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES Essential Job Functions: · Advance NHA’s mission as a membership organization by promoting public understanding of and support for Nevada's healthcare delivery system. · Provide members with education, consultation, and advocacy on workforce and clinical healthcare issues. · Lead and support collaboration among hospitals, physicians, managed care organizations, academic partners, and other stakeholders to shape local, state, and federal policy initiatives. · Engage members in initiatives focused on quality improvement, patient safety, and improved patient outcomes. · Develop and convene committees of healthcare leaders to promote evidence-based best practices. · Represent NHA member interests on external commissions, boards, advisory panels, and task forces as directed by the President/CEO. · Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and relevance of educational and advocacy content, including materials posted on the NHA website. · Support the collaboration between hospitals and academic partners to educate nursing students and facilitate clinical placements. · Advance workforce initiatives to grow the number of nurses and nurse educators in Nevada. · Strengthen the relationship between NHA and community stakeholders, including membership growth, leadership development, and legislative engagement. · Monitor legislative and regulatory activity related to workforce and clinical services and provide analysis and summaries to the NHA President/CEO and members. · Assist in identifying alternative funding sources to support NHA initiatives and projects. · Provide timely, responsive service to all NHA members. . Collaborate with NHA staff to achieve organizational goals and objectives. . Submit annual work plans, periodic reports, and other documentation as requested.

REQUIREMENTS · Current Nevada Registered Nurse license, or eligible to obtain one within six months · Minimum of five 5 years of nursing leadership or healthcare administrative management experience · Willing to learn healthcare legislative and regulatory processes · Public speaking and stakeholder engagement experience . Some travel required . Ability to occasionally lift and carry meeting equipment such as laptops, projectors, and manuals

OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES · Strong written and verbal communication skills . Demonstrate leadership and collaboration skills · Ability to handle confidential information with discretion · Strong organizational skills and attention to deadlines · Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) . Positive, professional demeanor and ability to work effectively with diverse groups
