Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Urologist to fill a locum position at our busy facility in Silverdale, WA. The role encompasses clinic care, on-call responsibilities, and performing essential procedures such as cystoscopies, vasectomies, prostate biopsies, TURPs, and other common urologic interventions. The candidate will work alongside a supportive team consisting of nurses, medical assistants, and administrative staff, with the opportunity to utilize onsite robotic equipment when necessary. This position demands adaptability to a fast-paced environment, excellent patient service skills, and the ability to handle a substantial volume of patient care efficiently. The provider will be the sole urologist during their scheduled shift, ensuring continuity of care.
Required Skills
Board eligibility or certification in Urology
Proficiency in general urological procedures, including cystoscopy, vasectomy, prostate biopsy, TURP, uroflowmetry, bladder scans, ureteroscopy, nephrectomy, cystectomy, ESWL, Botox injections, etc.
Experience with robotic surgery is preferred but not mandatory
Excellent patient communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and efficiently in a high-volume setting
Valid BLS and DEA certifications
Proficiency with EMR systems, specifically Epic
Nice to Have Skills
Prior locum or emergency coverage experience
Familiarity with hospital-based rounding and consults
Additional procedural training or subspecialty experience
Ability to manage hospital call and develop good rapport with hospital staff
Preferred Education and Experience
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
Completion of Urology residency program
Active state medical license or eligible for licensure in Washington
At least 1-year post-residency clinical experience preferred
Other Requirements
Ability to start on 03/11/2026 and commit to a minimum of three months
Willingness to work weekends for call coverage when scheduled
Travel from your current location to Silverdale, WA; local travel preferred for those nearby
Willing to adhere to credentialing timelines and hospital policies
Flexibility to work 8a-4p clinic shifts, evening/night call, or 24-hour on-call rotations
Inclusion in all required credentialing and licensing processes within the specified deadlines
Compensation is highly competitive, with hourly pay rates ranging from $450 to $500.
