*Overview*
We are seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Engineering Project Manager to lead the planning, design, and delivery of municipal waterline and sewer line infrastructure projects. This role is responsible for managing projects from concept through construction, overseeing technical design, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and serving as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise in water distribution and wastewater collection systems, proven project management experience, and a commitment to delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions that serve communities.
*Key Responsibilities*
*Project Management*
* Manage waterline and sewer line design projects from proposal through construction closeout.
* Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
* Monitor project progress, financial performance, and risk.
* Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with client expectations.
* Lead project meetings with clients, municipalities, and regulatory agencies.
*Technical Leadership*
* Oversee and perform the design of water distribution systems (mains, transmission lines, booster stations, storage facilities) and wastewater collection systems (gravity sewers, force mains, lift stations).
* Direct hydraulic modeling and system analysis.
* Review and seal engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports (as licensed).
* Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and design standards.
* Provide quality control and technical review of plans and calculations.
*Client & Stakeholder Coordination*
* Serve as primary client contact and maintain strong client relationships.
* Coordinate with utility providers, municipalities, regulatory agencies, and contractors.
* Support business development efforts, including proposal preparation and scope development.
*Team Leadership*
* Mentor and supervise design engineers, EITs, and technical staff.
* Foster collaboration across disciplines including civil, structural, electrical, and environmental teams.
* Provide guidance on best practices, constructability, and value engineering.
*Qualifications*
*Required*
* Bachelorโs degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
* Professional Engineer (PE) license (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
* 7+ years of experience in water and wastewater infrastructure design.
* Demonstrated experience managing municipal waterline and sewerline projects.
* Strong understanding of hydraulic modeling software (e.g., WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, InfoWater, or similar).
* Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Bentley MicroStation and preparation of construction documents.
* Knowledge of permitting processes and regulatory requirements.
*Preferred*
* Experience working directly with municipalities and utility districts.
* Design experience with lift stations and force mains.
* Construction administration experience.
* PMP certification (a plus).

Pay: $115,000.00 - $140,000.
