We invest through SPVs, and we work collaboratively across origination, diligence, deal execution, and portfolio support, with a high bar for integrity, clarity, and follow-through.
Advantary has very substantial deal flow and current deals. We're looking for additional execution bandwidth.
Role Overview
We are hiring a Life Sciences Partner to originate and lead investments across life sciences, including biotech, pharma, digital health, medtech, medical devices, diagnostics, healthcare services, and enabling technologies.
You will own the deal from first conversation through close, and you will stay involved post-close to support the company’s progress, governance, and capital strategy.
What You Will Do
Source qualified life science opportunities through your network and active outreach.
Screen opportunities quickly and rigorously using our framework, including market, team, product, regulatory path, clinical evidence, reimbursement dynamics, and commercialization readiness.
Lead company-facing processes, including discovery calls, pitch calls, Q&A, diligence coordination, and internal investment committee preparation.
Negotiate and close deals, including terms, structure, timeline management, investor alignment, and coordination with counsel and other stakeholders.
Support portfolio companies after closing through structured engagement, including strategic guidance, introductions, hiring support, follow-on financing preparation, and board-level collaboration when relevant.
Collaborate with other Advantary partners across capital syndication, diligence, and value creation, and you will maintain disciplined CRM and pipeline hygiene.
What We Are Looking For
7+ years of experience in life sciences investing, corporate development, venture capital, growth equity, private equity, banking, or operating leadership in a life sciences company.
A strong, active network across founders, executives, KOLs, strategic partners, and capital providers in life sciences.
Demonstrated judgment in evaluating science risk, regulatory pathways, clinical validation, reimbursement, and go-to-market execution.
Run a process end-to-end, including positioning, diligence management, term negotiation, and closing.
Communicate with precision, you follow through reliably, and you manage stakeholders calmly under time pressure.
Comfortable in a performance-based partner model with meaningful upside tied to outcomes.
Nice to Have
Prior board, board observer, or formal portfolio support experience.
Domain depth in a specific subsector (for example, oncology, neuro, cardiovascular, diagnostics, digital health, or medical devices).
Experience with SPVs, syndicates, co-invests, or structured financings.
Compensation and Structure
This is a partner role with participation in current revenues, firm equity, management fees, and carried interest.
Uncapped upside.
Compensation is tied to origination, execution, fees, and portfolio outcomes, consistent with Advantary’s partner economics.
No base compensation.
