Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Cardiac/Med-Surg position requiring an active IL RN license and EPIC charting experience. Responsibilities Work on a cardiac-focused medical/surgical unit Night shifts, 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, three 12-hour shifts per week Registered nurse role overseeing care for a group of cardiac and med-surg patients EPIC EMR system is used and experience is required Patient population includes cardiac and general med-surg cases Responsible for initial assessments, planning, and modifying patient care according to unit standards Maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation and collaborates with the healthcare team Rotation may require floating depending on patient needs Maximum of 7 days off permitted per 13-week contract Contingent workers are not permitted to be on assignment for more than one year at a time and must take a 6-month break before returning No travel partners accepted Compliance paperwork deadlines must be met as specified prior to start Dress code and scrub color details provided upon assignment First-time travelers may be considered Requirements Active Illinois RN license in good standing or temporary license accepted Minimum of one year of recent relevant nursing experience required Associate's degree in nursing (ASN) required Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association required Documented experience in Level 1 trauma settings required EPIC charting experience required English proficiency required (speak, read, write) Local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID #P-668276.
