School-Based Physical Therapist (Part-Time) New Windsor, NY A part-time School-Based Physical Therapist role is available for the 20252026 school year in New Windsor, New York. The position offers an excellent opportunity to provide supportive, school-based physical therapy services for K-12 students in a collaborative educational environment. Position Details: Schedule: 2 days per week with some flexibility in scheduling Duration: Full school year (20252026) Setting: School-based, serving school-aged students (K-12) Location: New Windsor, NY Responsibilities: Deliver physical therapy interventions aligned with IEP goals and New York State Education Department (NYSED)/Department of Education (DOE) guidelines Assess and evaluate students physical therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans to enhance mobility, strength, and functional independence Collaborate closely with teachers, school staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress Participate in Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings and offer professional recommendations regarding student therapies Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in compliance with DOE and district policies Support students in generalizing motor skills across academic and social settings Qualifications: Masters or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution Current New York State Physical Therapy License or eligibility to obtain licensure Experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy preferred Familiarity with CSE procedures and DOE requirements preferred Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities Benefits and Perks: Competitive hourly pay starting at $55, commensurate with experience and credentials Clinical support including mentorship from licensed field experts License reimbursement opportunities Comprehensive benefits package available for full-time employees (medical, vision, dental, 401K matching) This part-time physical therapy position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student development within an educational setting.
