03/30/2026 Job Description: The Registered Nurse in the ICU is responsible for providing critical care services with a focus on patient-centered care in an acute setting. Duties include managing nurse-to-patient ratios, titrating drips, and interpreting telemetry. The position requires interaction with a multidisciplinary team and involves weekend and holiday rotations as needed. Responsibilities: Titrate drips including Vasopressors, Insulin, TNK, Heparin, IV Antibiotics, and Sedatives Manage nurse-to-patient ratios; adjust based on patient downgrades Read and interpret telemetry strips Provide care for patients with conditions such as COPD, pneumonia, CVA, and CHF Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, and E-ICU staff for 24/7 critical care coverage Adhere to department policies, including fingernail and dress code requirements Requirements: Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Pass an open book exam with a score of 90% or higher during orientation Drivers license required at submittal Adherence to a 50-mile radius rule; candidates must not be affiliated with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity
