Product Development Engineer

Responsibilities: Collaborate with customers to define project scope, expectations, and requirements Interface cross-functionally with Sales, Manufacturing (multi-site), and Engineering teams Create 2D/3D product designs and electronic CAD models in SolidWorks aligned with manufacturing capabilities Conduct product design reviews with customers, internal teams, and suppliers Develop multi-cavity design data to support tooling fabrication Participate in manufacturing process development Create manufacturing work instructions and process control documentation Partner with manufacturing on continuous improvement initiatives Support problem resolution through root cause analysis and corrective actions Coordinate product validation testing and dimensional documentation Participate in new technology investigations Manage multiple development projects to required schedule and budget May travel up to 20% to support project objectives Required Experience: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or technical discipline preferred Minimum 3+ years of SolidWorks product design experience Experience creating detailed 2D/3D CAD drawings and models for consumer-based products Ability to read and interpret CAD/blueprint drawings Understanding of design for manufacturing principles Strong cross-functional collaboration skills Experience managing multiple development projects simultaneously Strong analytical problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Experience with molded fiber/molded product design SolidWorks PDM knowledge Epicor or Mastercam experience Understanding of tooling fabrication Benefits: 401(K) Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Life insurance Paid Time Off Employee Assistance Program Referral program Salary: $85K-$100K Ask for: Brenna Job Id: 25977 Ajulia Executive Search is a New Jersey based Executive Search Firm specializing in retained searches in multiple sectors, including Manufacturing, Finance, IT, Legal, and Pharmaceutical.
