Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to provide essential services at elementary schools in Lewisville, TX. This contract opportunity involves covering a maternity leave from as soon as possible through April 2024, supporting K-5 students across two campuses. The caseload includes approximately 48 students, primarily located at Old Settlers Elementary (40 students) with additional services at Southridge Elementary (8 students). This role requires onsite presence and involves working two half days at the secondary campus.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver speech-language therapy to elementary students in grades K-5.
Manage a caseload spanning two schools, adapting to varied student needs.
Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support student progress.
Maintain thorough documentation and adhere to state licensure regulations.
Coordinate with district resources for supervision if a Clinical Fellow (CF) candidate is selected.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist required.
Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) preferred.
Clinical Fellows must have supervision arranged independently prior to starting; district supervision is not provided.
Experience working in school-based settings with elementary-age children is highly desirable.
Able to work full-time onsite, managing responsibilities across two campuses.
