Position Details: Hartford Hospital is searching for a dedicated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic Neurocritical Care team! As an Advanced Practice Provider (APP), you will collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care to patients experiencing critical neurological concerns. Your focus will be on patients with complex conditions such as strokes, neurosurgeries, seizures, tumors, and spinal cord injuries. The APPs will rotate between the intensive care units and step-down units. Role: Open to Physician Assistants or Acute Care Nurse Practitioners Location: 80 Seymour Street, Hartford, 06102 Setting: Inpatient, Critical Care, Neurocritical care. Schedule: Full-time, Permanent Nights with premium differentials offered. Call schedule: No call. Ayer Neuroscience Institute The Ayer Neuroscience Institute is an expanding institution that emphasizes comprehensive patient care, academics, and research, supported by a vast network dedicated to excellence in patient quality and experience. Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistants Role Scope: Within established guidelines and in collaboration with physicians, Advanced Practitioners will conduct thorough physical examinations, craft medical plans, and provide educational and psychosocial guidance tailored to patient needs. You will have the opportunity to evaluate health needs, develop treatment strategies, and ensure appropriate referrals throughout the care continuum. Qualifications:
Licensure: Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligibility). Training: Certified or board-eligible Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. Experience: 1+ years in an acute care/neurocritical care setting preferred.
