We are seeking a highly skilled RMF (Risk Management Framework) System Administrator to join our team onsite at Ft. Bliss. This dynamic role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the management, security, and optimization of complex IT systems within a mission-critical environment. As an integral part of our cybersecurity and systems engineering efforts, you will ensure the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of our information systems by implementing robust security controls and maintaining a resilient IT infrastructure. Your expertise will directly support national security objectives and operational excellence.
*Duties*
* Manage and maintain RMF compliance by implementing security controls aligned with federal standards and guidelines.
* Oversee system architecture design, ensuring optimal integration of hardware, software, and network components to support operational needs.
* Configure and administer RAID controllers, VMware ESXi hosts, Kubernetes clusters, and virtualization platforms to ensure high availability and performance.
* Develop and execute system administration tasks across Windows, Linux, and UNIX operating systems, including scripting with Bash, PowerShell, Python, and Shell scripting.
* Implement network security measures such as firewalls, VPNs, DNS management, DHCP configuration, load balancing solutions, and RESTful APIs for secure data exchange.
* Monitor system health using tools like Jenkins, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices to streamline deployment processes.
* Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, architecture diagrams, security protocols, and incident reports to support audit readiness.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams on solution architecture projects utilizing Service-oriented architecture (SOA), microservices frameworks, and solution design principles.
* Support database management activities involving MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle PL/SQL databases along with Microsoft SQL Server for data integrity and performance tuning.
* Ensure information security by implementing best practices in cybersecurity measures such as firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, encryption protocols, and access controls.
*Qualifications*
* Proven experience in system administration within complex IT environments supporting government or defense operations.
* Strong understanding of system architecture design principles including cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.
* Minimum Comp/TIA Security + CE
DoD Manual 8570.01 Information Assurance Level II Baseline Certification
Active DoD Secret Clearance
Bachelor of Science in Computer or Information Technology Related field
3 years experience with RMF and configuration management
Hands-on expertise with virtualization technologies such as VMware ESXi and VMWare vSphere; experience with UNIX/Linux operating systems is essential.
* Proficiency in scripting languages including Bash (Unix shell), Python, PowerShell for automation tasks.
* Familiarity with network protocols such as DNS, DHCP; experience configuring VPNs and load balancers is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks including RMF compliance standards; experience with information security best practices is required.
* Experience working with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes; familiarity with microservices architecture is a plus.
* Ability to develop solutions using RESTful APIs for integration across diverse systems; understanding of DevOps pipelines including Jenkins and Git is advantageous.
* Strong background in database management using MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle PL/SQL or Microsoft SQL Server.

Pay: $73,554.07 - $85,000.00 per year
