Quality Control Manager (QCM) / QC Assistant – Federal Construction

$90,000 – $120,000 (DOE)
A well-established federal construction contractor is seeking a Quality Control Manager (QCM) or QC Assistant to support active projects in Colorado. This role is ideal for a construction professional with approximately 5–10 years of experience who is looking to build a long-term career and develop toward senior project leadership.
This position will support an experienced Sr. QCM on-site and play a key role in maintaining quality standards, reviewing submittals, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with federal contract requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
Review and process submittals to ensure compliance with contract documents
Conduct on-site quality inspections and verify work aligns with plans and specifications
Identify discrepancies between drawings, scope of work, and field conditions
Support documentation and reporting required for federal projects
Coordinate with project teams to resolve quality and compliance issues
Assist with preparation for government inspections and audits
Become proficient in Corps of Engineers and federal quality control standards
Qualifications:
5–10 years of construction experience
(commercial, industrial, or federal)
Experience in quality control or quality assurance within a project management environment
Exposure to federal, DoD, USACE, or government projects preferred
Strong ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
Experience with submittals, RFIs, and construction documentation
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Bluebeam experience is a plus

Compensation and Requirements:
Salary range:
$90,000 – $120,000
depending on experience
