Financial Aid Coordinator

Position Summary The Financial Aid Coordinator assists the Director of Financial Aid in the development, implementation, and evaluation of student financial aid programs for the Schools of Nursing and Medical Imaging. This role serves as a primary resource for students and families regarding financial aid processes, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial aid awards.

Education High School Diploma required Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred (Education, Business, or related field preferred) Experience Minimum of 1 year of financial aid or higher education administrative experience required Experience processing FAFSA, NJ Grants, STARs, and student loans required Experience reconciling student financial aid packages required Basic PeopleSoft (PS) experience preferred Knowledge of U.S. Department of Education regulations and compliance preferred

Skills & Competencies Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel Strong data entry and recordkeeping skills Knowledge of financial aid systems and education department requirements Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to manage confidential information with discretion Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
