SUMMARY Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced

Design Phase Engineer II

to translate owner’s project expectations into design drawings, specifications, and schedules, and provide financial cost documentation. Strong communication skills are necessary as you will coordinate with staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment. Your ability to remain flexible, inventive, dedicated, and efficient with a high level of integrity and confidentiality is vital to your success in this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES Provide meaningful recommendations to project’s programming and conceptual design activities, ensuring constructability and logistics solutions in project design

Coordinate with integrated construction team to incorporate BIM/VDC modeling technology into project design phase

Assist with project proposal development

Prepare bid packages and contract manuals for subcontractors and suppliers in conjunction with project planning team

Analyze and track LEED requirements

Coordinate document and electronic interface processing

Identify and resolve technical design and specification concerns

Other duties as assigned

Model and set the tone for extraordinary customer relations

Gathering feedback and clarification during design process, and identify future projects

QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, Estimating, or equivalent field

Minimum four years relevant experience
