Principal / Lead Electrical Engineer

PRINCIPAL / LEAD ELECTRICAL ENGINEER - CONTRACT – SURREY Our Client is seeking a Principal / Lead Electrical Engineer to work on energy transition and energy security projects for an initial 12 month contract role that has an immediate start. EXPERIENCE Experience as a Lead Electrical Engineer in the oil and gas industry. Demonstrable experience of designing large industrial power systems is a prerequisite. Candidates must have experience of the job scope below. JOB SCOPE The role is to develop the electrical power system designs required to support the process design. RESPONSIBILITIES Power system designs for H2 / NH3 / LNG / Refining projects, sizing and selection of high voltage equipment, Large Frequency converters, AC/ DC UPS systems, etc. Development of philosophies and specifications Input to estimating. Complete power system studies/calculations using ETAP / review of studies by others. DURATION 12 months initially LOCATION The role will be based on 5 days a week in our Client’s Offices in Surrey. Hybrid working may be possible with one day remote. RATE £62.00 per hour (Ltd co rate) If the role is likely to be outside of IR35 the final decision will only be made after a QDOS assessment.
