Hiring details This requisition is for a locally hired position in Crawley. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Crawley UK location. Position Responsibilities Lead and professionally develop software engineers Develop and execute project and process plans while following and improving existing policies and procedures Provide oversight, insight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with direct reports, peers, business partners and other stakeholders Drive the future of Boeing’s training simulation technology and tools Travel internationally as required Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience) Bachelor of Science degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science or computer science 7 years of experience writing professional software with 3 years in C, C++, C# or Java specifically 5 years of experience developing aircraft simulation software for flight simulator training devices Demonstrable experience leading teams using one or more agile processes Demonstrable experience working with external product management organisations Ability to travel internationally (to Canada and the US) as required Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience) 5 years of experience managing teams in the software development discipline Experience with DO‑178C safety‑critical software systems Licensed pilot (FAA PPL / EASA PPL‑A ASEL or higher); license does not have to be current and no medical is required for this role Experience with integrated avionics systems Benefits Competitive salary and annual incentive plans Continuous learning – you’ll develop the approach and skills to navigate whatever comes next Success as defined by you – we’ll provide the tools and flexibility so you can make a meaningful impact your way Inclusive culture – you’ll be embraced for who you are and empowered to use your voice to help others find theirs Excellent adoption and parental leave options 23 days plus UK public holidays and a winter break between Christmas and New Year Pension plan with up to 10% employer contribution Company‑paid BUPA medical plan Short‑term sickness: 100% pay for the first 26 weeks Long‑term sickness: 66.67% of annual salary from 27th week 6x annual salary life insurance Learning Together Programme to support your ongoing personal and career development Access to Boeing’s Well‑Being Programs tool and incentives Key Skills Hospitality experience, Go, management experience, React, Redux, Node.js, AWS, mechanical engineering, team management, leadership experience, mentoring, distributed systems Employment Type Full‑time Experience Years Vacancy 1 #J-18808-Ljbffr
