Speech Language Specialist

Our experienced Speech and Language Therapists make a significant impact in people’s life within a small, motivated and enthusiastic team in Jersey. In this highly specialist role, you will lead the delivery of Speech and Language Therapy across the Rehabilitation Unit while working as an integral member of a multidisciplinary team. Your work will shape the rehabilitation journey for individuals recovering from stroke, progressive neurological conditions, dementia and complex traumatic brain injury, supporting them from early intervention through to discharge back into the community. Take ownership of the Speech and Language Therapy contribution to Jersey’s Stroke Rehabilitation Pathway, which is currently under review, giving you genuine scope to influence how services develop island wide. Your expertise will also extend into the Memory Assessment Clinic, where your assessments will play a valuable role in informing dementia diagnoses, guiding families, and strengthening the wider service response for those living with cognitive decline. Your advanced clinical skills, particularly in dysphagia, AAC and instrumental assessment, will be highly valued. Experience in video-fluoroscopy and FEES is desirable, and the service will support your ongoing development in these areas should you wish to expand your expertise.
