A top 20 Tax & Accountancy Firm based in Reading is looking for an Expatriate Tax or Global Mobility Tax Senior Manager.This role provides an opportunity for an experienced global mobility or employment tax professional to take a leading position in delivering high-quality advisory services to a diverse client portfolio. You will act as a trusted senior advisor, ensuring excellent service delivery, strong client relationships, and effective risk management.The position combines technical leadership, client management, business development, and people management, making it well suited to an individual seeking a senior role within a growing and ambitious tax practice.Key ResponsibilitiesClient and Project DeliveryServe as the primary employment tax contact for key clients, with responsibility for quality, risk management, and service deliveryAnticipate client needs, respond promptly to requests, and maintain regular communication on project progressBuild, manage, and develop a client portfolio, including responsibility for billing and cash collection in line with firm policiesSupport tax planning and complex advisory work in collaboration with senior leadershipBusiness Development and MarketingIdentify and pursue new business and growth opportunities with senior supportRecognise and leverage marketing and profile-raising opportunitiesDevelop and maintain strong internal and external networks to generate a sustainable pipeline of workLeadership and ManagementProvide support to senior leaders on client matters and operational managementContribute to recruitment, performance management, and staff development activitiesCollaborate with other senior team members across the organisationParticipate actively in management meetings and team initiativesDelegate effectively and support the technical and professional development of junior colleaguesProvide regular feedback, coaching, and performance guidanceCommunication and RepresentationBuild and maintain relationships with senior client stakeholders and wider client teamsAct as a professional ambassador for the firmCoordinate with internal specialist teams to deliver integrated client solutionsContribute to internal and external training sessions, seminars, and eventsConsult with colleagues and leadership on technical, compliance, and risk mattersCandidate ProfileTechnical Expertise and ExperienceStrong, up-to-date knowledge of employment and wider tax legislationSpecialist expertise in managing complex tax matters and advisory projectsProven ability to manage substantial client portfolios profitablyExperience working with senior client management teamsDemonstrated success in developing new client relationships and expanding existing accountsExperience leading and delivering complex projectsLeadership and Management SkillsProven people management and team leadership experienceAbility to motivate, develop, and retain high-performing teamsStrong delegation, coaching, and performance management capabilityQualifications and EducationDegree-level education and/or CTA, ACA, or equivalent professional qualificationDemonstrable post-qualification experienceProfessional AttributesStrong commercial awareness and entrepreneurial mindsetExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsHigh standards of professionalism, integrity, and accountabilityProactive, organised, and resilient approach to workload managementFeel free to apply below or reach out for more information.
