Mechanical Design Engineer

Our client creates bespoke, flexible systems for the power and water sectors As they continue to grow, they are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their expanding team Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer Reporting to: Design Manager Salary: Competitive, Negotiable depending on experience Duties & Responsibilities: Mechanical design of water/wastewater projects in line with client specifications Production of Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) using Plant 3D Production and co-ordination of 3D models using Revit Production of general arrangement drawings, sections & elevations Production of pump calculations, equipment schedules, technical specifications Production of fabrication detail drawings for site installations Liaise with suppliers and sub-contractors to obtain quotations for equipment Preparation of technical design submissions for client review Attend regular project design and site meetings. Liaise with, process engineers, electrical engineers and ICA Engineers on projects Comply with all ISO Quality & Environmental policies and procedures, and all health and safety rules Enjoy the full life cycle of a project from initial specification to commissioning Essential Experience: Mechanical engineering qualification (HNC/HND or similar) 4+ years experience in a similar mechanical design role Experience using 3D Modelling software (Revit, Inventor, Solid Works etc) Experience of fabrication design Skills: mkechanical design deesign engineer solidworks Revit Benefits: early finish on friday company pension paid holidays
