They are seeking a strategic legal partner for the CEO and the executive teamโnot just a legal guardian, but a commercial enabler who can build a scalable legal infrastructure to support their ambitious growth targets.As General Counsel, you will be the principal legal advisor to the business, tasked with transforming the Legal, Risk, and Compliance (LRC) function into a true competitive advantage. This is a leadership role where you will drive the speed of commercial contracting, support a global expansion strategy, and cultivate a culture where legal risks are expertly balanced with commercial opportunities. You will lead and mentor a talented team, empowering them to become trusted business partners while you focus on high-impact strategic initiatives.Qualifications10+ years of legal experience, with a strong preference for a background that includes both top-tier law firm training and significant in-house leadership within a SaaS, Data, or FinTech company.A strong commercial acumen. You understand the metrics that drive a modern tech business and can communicate complex legal advice in a clear, business-focused manner.A global perspective, with experience managing legal entities and employment law across multiple international jurisdictions (e.g., UK, EU, US, APAC).A pragmatic approach to risk. You are an expert at navigating ambiguity and providing creative, risk-calibrated solutions.Demonstrable M&A experience. You have a solid track record of involvement in corporate transactions, from due diligence to post-close integration.Helpful if you have:Experience with public sector procurement cycles.A background in complex, regulated industries.French language skills would be an asset but are not a requirement.This is a confidential retained search for a pivotal role in a truly exciting company.
