Corporate and M&A Transactions Tax Director
The Corporate and M&A Transactions Tax team comprises more than 20 professionals dedicated to providing high-quality transaction tax advice to private equity investors and acquisitive corporate groups across a wide variety of sectors. The team has ambitious growth objectives, and this position will play an important role in supporting its continued expansion.
This Director-level position is suited to an experienced transaction tax specialist who is confident in leading tax due diligence assignments on both buy‑side and sell‑side transactions, as well as advising on transaction structuring. The role involves close collaboration with other tax specialists, including VAT and Employment Taxes, alongside colleagues in transaction advisory and related service lines.
Success in this role requires strong technical capability, commercial awareness, and the ability to clearly explain complex tax matters to a range of stakeholders.
Key Requirements
Proven experience leading tax due diligence and transaction structuring engagements, working alongside other tax specialists and transaction advisory professionals
A thorough understanding of client acceptance procedures, engagement processes, and risk management considerations
Strong client relationship skills, including proactively managing client expectations, responding promptly to requests, and maintaining regular communication throughout the transaction lifecycle
Experience contributing to transaction documentation and financial models
Deep and current technical tax knowledge, with the ability to analyse and resolve complex tax issues arising from corporate transactions
Significant practical experience in transaction tax
Experience managing projects and supervising team members
Degree‑level education and/or relevant professional qualifications such as CTA, ACA, or an equivalent
