Senior Technical Manager -Director Designate

Due to retirement, we are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Manager - Director Designate to join our established façade business in the North West. This is a senior leadership position with a clear pathway to Director for the right individual. The successful candidate will take responsibility for leading the technical function, supporting pre‑construction activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, and contributing to the continued growth of the business. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the in‑house draughting team Provide technical oversight during both pre‑construction and project delivery phases Take responsibility for Gateway 2 compliance commitments, working alongside allocated project designer Provide technical input and support to estimating and sales teams during tender stages if required Contribute to LDG's Pre‑Construction Service by advising on design and specification matters to clients and the commercial team Attend client and design team meetings on complex projects Assist with technical site issues that may arise at installation stage Maintain high technical standards across all projects Contribute to the long‑term development of the company with other senior team members Experience Required 10 + years' experience within the façade industry Strong knowledge of: Unitised curtain walling Stick curtain walling Windows and doors Cladding systems (desirable) Experience leading and developing technical or design teams Good understanding of UK building regulations and Gateway processes Personal Attributes Strategic thinker with strong problem‑solving ability Clear and confident communicator Strong leadership and team development skills High attention to detail Sound understanding of technical risk and compliance Commercially aware and capable of supporting business growth What We Offer A senior position within an established façade company that has been trading in excess of 36 years Clear progression to Director level Opportunity to influence technical standards and company direction Competitive salary Continued Personal Development Applicants preferably from the North West and West Yorkshire areas and have an extensive facade background. #J-18808-Ljbffr
