Head of Litigation - 5+ PQE - PlymouthLocation: Plymouth OfficeType of Role: Full-timeSalary: £55,000 to £70,000 DOEChadwick Nott are pleased to be working with a well-regarded South West law firm, currently seeking a Head of Litigation to join their Plymouth office. This is a senior leadership opportunity for a solicitor with at least 5 years' PQE and a strong background in general litigation, property disputes, and contentious probate. Experience in personal injury is desirable but not essential.The RoleThis is a strategic and hands-on position, offering the chance to lead a busy litigation department and shape its future direction. Responsibilities include:Managing and developing a varied caseload across litigation, property, and contentious probateLeading and supporting the litigation team to ensure high standards of service deliveryAdvising clients on complex legal matters and providing practical, solutions-focused guidanceRepresenting clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedingsBuilding strong client relationships and enhancing the firm's reputationDriving business development and departmental growthMentoring and supervising junior team membersCandidate RequirementsThis role is suited to a qualified Solicitor with:Minimum 5 years' PQE in litigationStrong technical knowledge across general litigation, property disputes, and contentious probateProven leadership and team management experienceExcellent client care and communication skillsCommercial awareness and strategic thinkingAbility to work independently and collaborativelyWorking ArrangementsThis is a full-time role based in the firm's Plymouth office.
