A team that you will enjoy working with.The RoleOver the past three years, Madano’s Healthcare Practice has grown significantly to become one of the UK’s largest focused healthcare communications offerings. To support our continued growth, we’re looking for an Account Director to join our team.Account Directors are integral to leading teams to deliver exceptional work for our clients, across a variety of therapy areas and projects. We are looking for an engaging and inspiring Account Director with expertise in all things healthcare communications – media, medical, content development/creation, digital and strong project management – as well as someone invested in team development and business growth.Communications expertiseStrong analytical skills and an ability to simplify complex science into compelling and creative communications programmesEffective management of teams to deliver comprehensive communications strategies, including (but not limited to) content creation, event management, social media activation and media engagementExperience working with specialists to develop strategic communications campaigns that deliver on client objectivesAbility to review campaign metrics to determine success and key learningsComprehensive knowledge of social media channels and how to optimise digital campaignsUnderstanding of local and international regulations relating to the healthcare industry to ensure projects are compliantAn in-depth understanding of the healthcare communications landscape and an interest in the latest news/eventsClient serviceDay-to-day account lead for multiple clients, demonstrating an innate knowledge of clients’ businessesAbility to provide ongoing strategic counsel, build trust and develop enduring relationships with key client contactsEnsure that high quality work is consistently delivered across accounts, that is not only polished, but also meets each clients’ objectives and is strategically soundAbility to discuss and refine project briefs with the client, and coordinate briefs across relevant internal and external stakeholdersBusiness developmentProvide support with the execution of the Healthcare Business Plan, and Client Growth Plans (where appropriate)Proactive identification of opportunities for organic growth within each client’s portfolio, and development of proposalsCoordination of the development of pitch documents, including bringing in cross-functional expertise where neededAttendance of networking events on a regular basisGood understanding of Madano’s financial objectives, and ability to develop, manage, adhere to and reconcile budgets to ensure profitabilityDemonstrate an understanding of financial forecasting and capacity planning needs for each client and account teamPeople SkillsAbility to manage team workloads and contribute to the development of team members through ongoing mentoring and knowledge sharingDirect line management, including conducting performance reviews, professional development and promotion processes within the practiceSupports with recruitment efforts, including marketing activities and conducting candidate interviewsAn engaging presenter to internal and external audiences, with excellent meeting facilitation skillsWhat The Role Can Offer YouThe opportunity to work with varied and dynamic clients across the healthcare spaceThe chance to work with a well-established, hard-working, and collaborative teamThe ability to work alongside some of the most talented people in the industry, including specialists in our Insights & Analytics, Digital and Creative teamsFirst rate, dedicated training that will enable you to take control of your career, continue to develop as an expert in the field of healthcare communications, and become a trusted advisor to clientsAn opportunity to progress your career in a fast-growing ConsultancyLocationOur team meets regularly at our Central London office, so the ideal candidate would be open to joining us in person at least 3 days a week.
