Clinical Assessor Troubles Permanent Disablement Payment Scheme (TPDPS) Remote with occasional travel | Full-time (37.5 hrs) or Part-time (30 hrs) Salary: £39,500£41,400 (inclusive of bonus) + excellent benefits About the Role Are you a healthcare professional looking for a meaningful change? Youll play a vital role in supporting applicants to theTroubles Permanent Disablement Payment Scheme (TPDPS) by assessing medical evidence and determining the permanence and level of disablement caused by Troubles-related incidents. This role is ideal for compassionate clinicians with strong assessment, analytical, and communication skills. Youll receive comprehensive training, mentorship, and career development opportunities including clear pathways into specialist or leadership roles. What Youll Do Review and analyse medical evidence to determine the permanence and percentage of disablement. Liaise with GPs, healthcare professionals, or services for additional evidence. Conduct assessments viaphone, video, or face-to-face where required. Gather and interpret clinical information, producing structured, detailed reports for theVictims Payments Board (VPB). Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and compassion when working with individuals from diverse backgrounds. What Were Looking For Fully registeredDoctor, Psychologist, Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, or Social Worker. Minimum 2 years post-registration experience (4 years for Social Workers). Active registration in good standing withGMC, NMC, HCPC, or NISCC (valid PIN). Experience withinmental health or psychiatric practice preferred. Excellent IT, analytical, and report-writing skills. Full UK driving licence and access to a car. Strong time management, boundary setting, and interpersonal skills. Willingness to completegovernment Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) andCounter Terrorist Check (CTC) vetting. Training & Working Hours Comprehensive training programme: 67 weeks, full-time (MonFri, 9am5pm). Flexible working: MondayFriday between 8am8pm. Part-time (30 hrs) andfull-time (37.5 hrs) opportunities available. Minimum of4 weeks notice for any rota changes to support worklife balance. Salary & Benefits Starting salary: £38,500 (pro rata for part-time). Career progression: Up to £41,400 + up to 10% performance bonus.
