As an employer, we offer a supportive, inclusive workplace where your ideas matter, careers grow, and employees can take on new challenges while making a real impact.What You'll DoActuary, Reserving Core ResponsibilitiesDevelop deep understanding of Aspen's portfolios, including business mix, loss triggers, geography, and key insureds/reinsureds.Lead and manage analysts to meet deadlines and support discussions with Claims, Underwriting, Finance, and the UK Chief Actuary.Integrate cross-functional insights to produce robust reserve recommendations.Present, communicate, and defend analyses to senior management.Provide actuarial insight into portfolio profitability and act as a technical resource across the business.Identify and implement process and methodology improvements within the reserving function.Support understanding of legal and regulatory requirements impacting actuarial work and business strategy.Contribute to a collaborative, values-driven team culture.Strategy & PlanningSupport actuarial strategy and align team deliverables with business objectives.Manage tactical plans and contribute to key actuarial projects.Drive process improvement initiatives and operational effectiveness.Governance & ProcessEnsure appropriate governance, documentation, and compliance with professional and regulatory standards.Develop and enhance actuarial systems, models, data, and reporting processes to meet business needs.Lead initiatives to strengthen risk analysis tools and actuarial capabilities.Stakeholder EngagementBuild strong relationships across business units and act as a primary actuarial contact.Collaborate across functions and support cross-training and feedback.Contribute to broader business initiatives and promote best practice sharing globally.Technical DeliveryDesign, test, and deliver actuarial analyses and models.Produce timely, accurate reporting across reserving, financial reporting, sustainability, commutations, and related areas.Drive methodological improvements and support change initiatives.Clearly interpret and communicate outcomes to senior stakeholders, including the Group Chief Actuary.Act as a technical authority in key areas, including climate-related risk and valuation of rights and options.What You BringStrong reserving expertise (10+ years), with deep knowledge of general insuranceProficient in loss-sensitive pricing and simulation techniquesSolid understanding of underwriting, compliance, and industry best practiceExpert in Excel and analytical tools with strong data manipulation and numerical analysis capabilitiesSkilled in developing and applying actuarial models to complex problemsExperienced in managing teams, resources, and delivering detailed reportsBroad exposure to insurance data, systems, and project workWhat39;s NextIf you are ready to take the next step, apply now!
