Sustainability Consultant – / IES ModellingLocation: Leeds (or hybrid / nearby regions considered)Salary: Competitive + benefitsExperience: Minimum 3 yearsJob Type: PermanentOverviewWe are seeking an experienced Sustainability Consultant / Building Performance Engineer with strong expertise in IES modelling, operational energy assessments, and low‑carbon building design. The role sits within a specialist sustainability & building performance team working on a broad range of projects across the built environment.This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow within a forward‑thinking consultancy environment, working on cutting‑edge sustainability and energy‑performance projects.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver IES VE modelling across a range of building typesCarry out operational energy modelling, including NABERS and BREEAM ENE01 assessmentsComplete modelling and reporting for Part L (compliance and optimisation)Undertake overheating analysis using approved methodologiesPrepare technical reports, evidence documents, and sustainability assessmentsWork closely with multidisciplinary design teams to support low‑carbon strategiesProvide technical input on energy performance and building simulation best practiceSkills & Experience RequiredEssential:Minimum 3 years’ experience in sustainability, building performance or energy modellingStrong ability with IES VEExperience in operational energy modellingKnowledge of NABERS, BREEAM ENE01, and associated energy creditsStrong understanding of Part L and associated compliance pathwaysExperience of overheating modelling (TM52 / TM59 or equivalent)Strong communication skills and ability to work within project teamsDesirable:Experience in wider sustainability or carbon consultancyUnderstanding of net‑zero carbon strategiesDegree in engineering, environmental science, sustainability or similarWhat’s on OfferExcellent career progressionExposure to high‑profile sustainability projectsSupportive team environment with technical development opportunitiesCompetitive salary + benefits packageWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity in our company.
