Senior Manager Technical Accounts (Practice) This role sits within a large, multi‑regional professional services group focused on delivering trusted, locally driven business advice to small and medium‑sized enterprises. The organisation prioritises strong client relationships, forward‑thinking service delivery, and a collaborative working culture. The Senior Manager will oversee a portfolio of clients, manage key relationships, and ensure high‑quality delivery across accounts and tax services. The position requires a strategic leader who can guide teams, support commercial growth, and uphold high standards of compliance and client care. Key Responsibilities Manage and grow a personal portfolio of complex clients, including accounts and corporation tax work. Ensure deadlines, actions, and client‑facing communications are delivered to an exceptional standard. Build long‑term relationships with clients, internal stakeholders, and team members. Provide tailored advice across accounts, tax planning, and general business matters. Technical Oversight Review work prepared by the team to ensure quality and regulatory compliance. Support colleagues with technical reviews, including: Consolidated accounts Reporting for UK subsidiaries of international groups FRS 102 Liaison with external auditors Business valuations Complex VAT matters CT600 submissions Oversee bookkeeping activity at a supervisory level. Strategic & Commercial Leadership Contribute to business planning activities focused on revenue, profitability, and service development. Enhance efficiency and operational quality through best practices and effective use of technology. Promote high professional standards and contribute to expanding the organisation’s client base. Maintain oversight of client relationships to ensure value, quality, and compliance. Key Requirements ACCA / ACA qualified, or QBE with equivalent experience (mandatory). Minimum 3 years’ post‑qualification experience in a practice environment. CTA or ATT desirable but not required. Proven experience growing and managing client portfolios. Strong commercial awareness and analytical mindset. Ability to drive efficiency through improved processes and innovative tools. Effective leadership with a focus on engagement and performance. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Professional, ethical judgement and confident decision‑making. Highly organised and committed to achieving high standards.
