Job Description
Meta is looking for a Lead Counsel, Labor & Employment, EMEA, on its Employment Law & Investigations team. This is a 14‑month long Short‑Term Employee position which will be based in London with responsibilities for EMEA‑wide employment law support.
Lead Counsel, Labor & Employment, EMEA (Short‑Term Position) Responsibilities:
Provide advice and counsel across the region on a broad range of employee‑related issues including performance and disciplinary matters, team re‑organisations, internal investigations, future of work programs, compensation and benefits, corporate transactions, and employment policies and procedures
Draft and revise employment‑related agreements and policies including offer letters, severance agreements, confidentiality agreements, employee handbooks, and other employment related documents
Partner with internal teams to build processes and playbooks for recurring employee‑related matters. Working on other region‑wide projects and initiatives
Minimum Qualifications:
Meta requires all employed attorneys to have a law degree or equivalent certificate to permit the practice of law and be appropriately licensed and authorized to practice law for the company in their assigned work location. Unless prohibited under local law, an attorney must hold a current practicing certificate (including where required from the relevant authority in the jurisdiction of the assigned work location) or the local law equivalent bar registration or licence as may be applicable
3+ years of post‑qualification work experience
Experience with labor and employment laws in EMEA including performance management, compliance and disciplinary procedures. Willingness to learn in new jurisdictions
Experience in partnering effectively with cross‑functional teams to provide practical advice and bring forward strategic and scalable solutions
Experience coordinating and driving to completion large‑scale projects under tight deadlines
