Payroll Specialist

Hayward Hawk is delighted to be recruiting for our professional services client for a Payroll Specialist to join its established Finance team based in Belfast. This role will support the delivery of accurate and compliant payroll services across multiple jurisdictions, working closely with HR, Finance and external payroll providers to ensure timely processing and resolution of employee queries. What You'll Do: Assist with end-to-end payroll activities including input, validation and reconciliation Provide guidance to employees, managers and HR on payroll-related matters Support the accurate and timely processing of monthly payrolls Support payroll administration relating to international transfers, relocations and assignments Liaise with outsourced payroll providers to ensure compliance and accuracy Maintain and review employee data to ensure integrity within payroll systems Respond to and resolve complex payroll queries, escalating where appropriate Assist with payroll reporting, analysis and ad hoc finance projects Support continuous improvement initiatives across payroll processes What You'll Need: Experience working within a large firm payroll function Understanding of UK PAYE legislation and payroll compliance Experience working alongside outsourced payroll providers Exposure to global mobility or international payroll processes Experience managing complex payroll-related queries Ability to manage large datasets and perform detailed analysis Strong organisational skills and ability to meet strict deadlines Ability to build effective working relationships across departments Experience using integrated HR/payroll systems Exposure to multi-country payroll environments Payroll qualification (CIPP or similar) is desirable What You'll Get: Competitive salary Hybrid working model Opportunity to work within a global organisation Exposure to complex international payroll environments Supportive and inclusive working culture
