Consultant Geriatrician - Acute Frailty Care and Clinical Lecturer Consultant Geriatrician with Specialist Interest in Acute Frailty Care and Clinical Lecturer. Responsibilities Develop, implement and evaluate innovative 7‑day frailty services for older people in hospital and community settings. Collaborate with other geriatricians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver seamless, equitable care. Provide acute frailty service support in emergency areas, with a sessional regime that evolves alongside service development. Deliver comprehensive geriatric assessment (CGA) on general geriatric and re‑ablement wards, leading the MDT‑based care on these wards. Oversee in‑patient wards comprising 14‑28 beds, managing an average of 2‑4 new admissions daily. Support trainees, junior doctors, Advanced Nurse Practitioners and STRs (sessional team‑based care) at Broadgreen and Royal Liverpool sites. Develop outpatient rapid‑access frailty clinics, working with nurses, therapy staff and the MDT geriatric outpatient department.
