Principal Electrical Design Engineer Clean & Wastewater Infrastructure West London | Hybrid / Flexible Working Permanent Our client is a leading design and build contractor delivering critical clean and wastewater infrastructure projects across the UK . Due to sustained growth, they are looking to appoint a Principal Electrical Design Engineer to take a leading role within their London-based team. This is a senior position offering real influence over technical delivery, standards, and team development within a highly respected water-focused consultancy. The Role Lead the electrical design of clean and wastewater infrastructure projects from concept through to detailed design Act as technical authority for electrical engineering across multiple schemes Produce, review, and approve electrical designs, specifications, and calculations Provide leadership, mentoring, and technical guidance to engineers within the team Work closely with clients, project managers, and multidisciplinary design teams Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and safety requirements About You A degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering Extensive experience in water or wastewater infrastructure projects Strong knowledge of LV / HV systems, MCCs, control panels, and associated infrastructure Proven experience leading electrical design teams or complex work packages Excellent communication skills and a collaborative leadership style Chartered Engineer status (IET or equivalent) is strongly preferred.
